Welcome to the family community of St Robert’s Catholic Primary School. We hope you enjoy visiting the website to find out more about our school. Our school lies in the heart of Harrogate and serves the two parishes of Our Lady Immaculate and St Robert and St Aelred of Rievaulx.
Our vision for St Robert's is for all our learners to learn and grow in Christ’s love, living out the gospel values in their daily lives. The caring Catholic ethos of the school develops pupils to become confident, successful individuals who want to make a positive contribution to the world around them. The dedicated and committed staff team work together to develop the children’s skills and instil the Christian values to enable them to make the right choices and aspire to achieve their full potential.
We are focussed on working in partnership with parents/carers to enable all children to flourish.
Health and Safety
We would like to assure our parents/carers and their families that school staff and governors are working hard to keep the learning environment as safe as possible. Working with BWCAT and NYCC there are comprehensive risk assessments in place across school in order to keep our children safe in the school environment.
Communications
We ask all parents/carers to keep us updated with their contact details so we can readily get in touch should the need arise.
Parents/Carers will receive weekly newsletters through 'Classlist' and will also receive school updates and any relevant information.
The closed online site through Classlist.com is used for any communications between school and parent/carers. Initially set up by the St Robert’s Helping Hands group, this has expanded to provide an invaluable and accessible method of communication between school and home.
Please sign up, if you have not already done so, as this will be the first method of communication should we need to contact parents/carers and send important notices, newsletters and updates. Please note this is used by school to inform parent/carers, if you need a response please contact school by email or phone.
Children in school use Microsoft Teams to access online learning when appropriate. All children are assigned to their class Team and provided with an email address and password. This is then used for some setting of homework and for some parent/teacher appointments. Those children who do not have ready access to the internet will have other work set. Parents/carers are welcome to make an appointment at a convenient time to meet with their child's teacher by contacting the school office.
