Mission, Vision & Values

At St Robert's, there is real ambition and high expectation for every pupil. This is not by accident, but by design, as we live out our mission statement: "Everything is Possible if You Believe." Inspired by the Gospel and rooted in our Catholic faith, we believe that every child is created in the image of God and is capable of achieving great things.

What is a Mission Statement?

A mission statement is a clear and concise statement which provides a common focus and direction for the school and underpins all the school does and how it does it.

Whydo we have a Mission Statement?

A mission statement will give everyone involved with our school a shared understanding of what our school stands for, which will provide us all with a common goal.

St Robert's Mission Statement

“Everything is possible if you believe”Mark 9:23

We believe that every child is a unique and cherished creation of God, blessed with individual gifts, talents and limitless potential. Inspired by the Gospel values, we nurture each child to thrive spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally, encouraging them to grow in faith, show kindness and compassion, and understand the power of forgiveness and reconciliation.

We strive to create a joyful, inclusive and nurturing community where every child feels they belong, is valued and respected, and is inspired to be the very best version of themselves. Through strong relationships and a shared commitment to care for one another, we help children

Rooted in our Catholic faith, we provide a rich, ambitious and engaging curriculum that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity and instils a lifelong love of learning. We challenge and support every child to become an independent, reflective learner who embraces opportunities, overcomes obstacles and approaches new experiences with courage and enthusiasm.

Our aim is for all children to achieve their full potential and leave our school with high aspirations, a secure understanding of the world around them and the confidence to make a positive difference in society. We empower them to become responsible, compassionate citizens who use their God-given gifts in service of others, knowing that with faith, determination and belief, everything is possible

 Our Golden Rules

At our school, we live out the Gospel Values by being Ready, Safe and Respectful. We are ready to learn and use our God-given gifts, safe in our actions because we care for one another, and respectful because we recognise that every person is loved by God. Through these simple rules, we follow Jesus' example every day.

Be Ready

Gospel Values: Responsibility, perseverance, service and stewardship.

We are ready to learn, listen and do our best because God has given us gifts and talents to develop. Like the parable of the talents, we use our abilities wisely and work hard to become the people God calls us to be.

Children can say:

  • I come to school prepared to learn.
  • I try my best and never give up.
  • I use my gifts and talents to help others.

Linked Bible message: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart." (Colossians 3:23)

Be Safe

Gospel Values: Compassion, care, dignity and love.

We keep ourselves and others safe because every person is made in God's image and deserves to be valued and cared for. Jesus showed kindness and protected those who were vulnerable.

Children can say:

  • I make safe choices.
  • I look after myself and others.
  • I tell an adult if someone needs help.

Linked Bible message: "Love your neighbour as yourself." (Mark 12:31)

Be Respectful

Gospel Values: Respect, forgiveness, kindness and community.

We treat others as we would like to be treated. We listen carefully, use kind words and celebrate that everyone is unique and loved by God.

Children can say:

  • I listen when others are speaking.
  • I use kind words and actions.
  • I show respect for everyone and everything around me.

Linked Bible message: "Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:31)
